Work Experience

  • Inspired by Nature: Schooner Farms (summer 2018-present) – I work on a sustainability farm tending to lobsters, fish, flowers, fruits, and vegetables. We use permaculture design and permaculture techniques in maintaining the land. I work under a permaculture certified farmer.
  • Inquiries Assistant in the Office of Residence Life (summer 2018-present) – In this position, I answer phone calls from current and prospective students about housing, living on campus, or other concerns about residency at BGSU.
  • Student Recruitment Scholar Coordinator (March 2018-present) – I coordinate personalized visits to BGSU. The students I work with are high-achieving high school students who express an interest in learning more about what our university has to offer. I also work with faculty and staff to plan meetings and tours for these students and their guests.
  • Honors College Peer Facilitator (August 2017-May 2018) – I worked with one of the Honors College professors to facilitate the first-year Honors critical thinking courses.
  • Willoway Daycamp Counselor (June 2017-August 2017) – I worked with young girls entering second and third grade. I helped plan and facilitate outdoor activities, taught swimming lessons, and mediated any conflict.
  • Karate instructor (2014-spring 2017) – I have instructed students ages 2-50+ in discipline, character, self-defense, and martial art skills.
  • Driveway Flix (2012-2017) – I co-manage this family business with my father.
  • PaperAgain.com (2010-present) – I began this business in 7th grade. I hand make notebooks out of sugarcane paper, recycled plastic bindings, and re-purposed cardboard food boxes. Half of my proceeds go to a food bank in my hometown. This is one of the ways I spread messages of upcycling, recycling, environmental responsibility, and caring for those around us.
