About

Hello! I’m Madison and one day I will change the world. I am a third-year student at Bowling Green State University in Ohio studying Environmental Policy and Analysis, specializing in Environmental Law. I will graduate in May 2020. I hope to attend law school in the fall of 2020 to become a practicing attorney. While at BGSU, I have been involved in many student organizations and leadership roles. I am a second-degree black belt in Japanese kempo. I am an avid outdoorswoman and practice sustainable living regularly. I truly believe in the quote “if your dreams don’t scare you, they aren’t big enough.” My career goals are to be an Environmental Attorney with the US Environmental Protection Agency, then to be an international policymaker within the environmental division of United Nations.

I gave a TED talk at TEDxBGSU in April 2018 entitled “Redefining Policy Through Fiction”. This was the launching point of my three-year senior Honors Project. I will be reading dystopian fiction, environmental fiction, and memoir fiction to pull out the lessons we can learn from literature. I will take these lessons and rewrite a Bowling Green city policy so that the public can better understand and interact with the policy.
