- I recently planned “BG Cleans” a trash-pickup service project for the Honors Learning Community I am a part of. Though we had low attendance, the participants gathered three large garbage bags of trash from various locations around campus.
- I have been a two-time participant for the Bowling Green Alternative Breaks program.
- On fall break 2017, I went to Fort Wayne, Indiana to restore wetland ecosystems in the Maumee Watershed. I learned about restoration seed collection, plant identification, and safety when creating trails.
- On spring break of 2018, I went to Boone, North Carolina to live off the grid on a sustainability farm. I helped de-winterize the farm and prepare for summer planting.
- I will be serving as a site leader for alternative spring break in 2019.
